The retreat
We invite you to come with us to the beautiful Oerboerderij in Twente on a creative fire journey. The basis are the 13 phases of the Intentional Creativity process, a process that includes writing, collage, ritual and magic. And of course there is going to be a (camp)fire, delicious food, time to be outside in nature and dance. Feeling into the flow of the midweek we will add shamanic systemic work, silent walks, womb work, and a cacao ceremony.
Details
> Accomodation 4 nights in a fantastic old renovated spacious farm in Twente, in the middle of the forest/ fields
> Shared bedroom (single bedroom has an extra cost of 50 euro)
> Tourist tax and cleaning fees.
> All meals from Monday night to Friday morning (there is plenty of room to take special dietary requirements into account, as we will cook together in a fully equipped kitchen)
> All creative materials
> Professional guidance in the creative process as well as holding space for what comes up.
> An online meeting prior to the week, where you will also receive a first exercise for the week (if you are unable to attend, we will contact you individually)
There is room for 8-10 participants.
This retreat is both in English and in Dutch, except when there are only Dutch participants.
About us
We, Marike (left) and Marcella (right), have known each other since 2015, even though it feels like much much longer. We have been working together on happiness-projects in various places in the Netherlands called the Geluksroute, on our online Circle of Resilience (and the Dutch version Cirkel van Veerkracht), and on other projects regarding inspiration and connection.
Our journey in life focusses on living from the heart and womb, daring greatly and sharing the power of vulnerability. Living life with joy and playfulness, from embodied love, embracing the shadows so the light can shine through.
Some of our favorite moments together:
– In the hottub and then dancing in the night at the Lorelei festival
– Singing out loud during concerts by the Swedish singer Fia
– Swimming in the sea through all the seasons
– Holding space during fullmoon celebrations and other circles
– Exploring intentional creativity exercises.
Our vision
Staring dreamingly into the flames, listening to the wood crackling, and letting yourself be warmed inside and out, watching the smoke travel into the sky, and sending our hopes, dreams, and prayers to the Great Mystery.
Fire continues to amaze and challenge, within us and in this world we live in. Since the beginning of time, fire has played an essential role in people’s lives, both in everyday life and in ceremonies. Our ancestors in cultures all over the world knew that a sacred fire is connected to the great Fire of Life, to the fire deep within the Earth and to fires of all time…
Fire of course does not exist alone, it always needs the other elements as well.
For us this Prayer of Taliesin brings it all together
“We give to the fire, May the fire burn it to ashes
May the wind carry the ashes to where they do most good
May the rain fall upon them, to carry them deep into the earth
May the earth make them into nourishment for the new cycle”
In this week of Beltane we will take the sacred fire as our way in, into the exploration what fire means to you. How can you listen to the language of fire, what does it communicate with you.
We do this in a small group of women that hear the call of the fire, that want to be the ones tending the fire.

Beltane, at the beginning of the light period of the year, is the celebration of the sacred union between the feminine and the masculine. The fire holds both energies, inviting us to appreciate the dark and destructive side of fire as much as the light, warming side. Allowing the radical, unrelenting fire that completely burns down the blocks of wood in our thinking and feeling to transform and make space. Allowing the warmth melt the ice within us so we can descend deeper into our femininity.
